Congress format
The Congress includes: Opening and awarding ceremony, keynotes, parallel sessions, closing session as well as offline activities such as YEP, gala dinner, social activities, technical visits and an exhibition of sponsors all over the world for three days.
A hybrid format will be applied. International participants who can not come to Nanjing in person are welcome to join us online with presentations, watch live broadcasts of all Opening, Awarding, and Closing Sessions, all Keynotes, Parallel Sessions and YEP Event, and get a free access to the Virtual Exhibition. The Online Platform
New conference technology features will be applied to formulate a memorable hybrid IABSE Congress. Registered online participants would have the opportunity to explore the 3D congress lobby, utilize the communication function to liaise with all participants, visit all virtual exhibition booths, watch videos from the exhibitors, inquire the on-going and up-coming presentations, leave a message to the host, speakers, or conference organisers.
There is no extra appliance needed to access the Online platform
Presentations
All accepted full-papers are expected to be presented in the congress. A PPT template will be provided for all registered presenting authors in July. The online presenters are welcome to deliver live presentations but required to send a pre-recorded version to the Congress Secretariat: iabse2022nanjing@tongji.edu.cn
Language
All presenters are required to deliver their presentations in English. Simultaneous interpretation in Chinese is provided for the Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony and Keynote Sessions.
Proceedings and Publication
A electronic version of full-paper proceedings will be provided to all registered participants prior to the Congress.
A printed IABSE Congress Report will be published before the Congress which consists of the keynote full papers and the extended abstracts of all accepted full-papers.
The IABSE Congress Report will be included in Ei Compendex database.
Please note that authors must register to the congress to have their full papers included in the electronic proceedings and the extended abstracts published in the IABSE Congress Report.
Young Engineers Programme
Participants born in or after 1988 will benefit from a reduced registration fee. In addition, awards with money prize offered by the OC and the IABSE Fellows will be given to the outstanding Young Engineers. The event is set in the evening of 21 June. More infomation will be updated on the IABSE official website.
